On 24 May 1991, or thereabouts, Eritrean freedom fighters re-entered Asmara.

 What is there now to celebrate? 

The Eritrean state may still be independent, but its people are certainly not free. The Isaias regime terrorises its people, rapes women, destroys families, steals money and property, and tortures those who stand up against it.

Surely democracy is the only way to begin to remedy the current situation?
