Larsson spent part of 1977 in the country, training a squad of “female Eritrean People’s Liberation Front guerrillas” in the use of grenade launchers.
Wikipedia reports that he was forced to abandon the work due to having contracted a kidney disease, but doesn’t relate why he was an expert in the use of grenade launchers, or why he was exclusively training women.
